Sponsored
events are a fun way to raise money. You will need to decide on an event, get
people to sponsor you, do the event, and then collect the money. The last part
can sometimes be difficult, so if you can persuade people to pay you up front
when they sponsor you it will be much easier. [Remember to tick
people off once they have paid you!]
There are all kinds of events you can organise. You could do a sponsored silence;
or you and some friends could do a sponsored swim. Maybe you could take a veggie
or vegan pledge for a week. The list is endless, and if you want any help let

You can download and customise our sponsor form by clicking here, if you don't have the means to print one off, you can fill out our request form and we can post you some! Alternatively you can create your own sponsor form specific to your event.
Petitions

You
can ask your family and friends to sign our petitions and make a small optional
donation. You could take your petitions into school or college to get them filled
out, or your place of work.
SARC is currently collecting signatures for our campaign against the testing of Botox on animals. So far we have collected over 15,000 but we need lots more! Are
you, or your mates in a band? Or are you able to put on a show to benefit SARC?
Planning an event like this is a fun and entertaining way to raise money. You
can donate a percentage of the entrance fee takings and support animal rights
work! Or you could have a collection tin at the ready when people come in and
ask if they would like to make a donation! You can also use it as an opportunity
to raise awareness of animal rights issues by handing out flyers, having an
info stall or showing a video.

Think you can sell some c.d's for SARC? Some of our supporters have already sold them at gigs, on stalls, in their shop, to their mates, at festivals and at demonstrations. Do you think you can help?
The C.D retails at £5.00 but we can do a special sale or return offer, so it won't cost you a penny and if you sell five or more you will get your very own copy for free! We also offer discounts to groups/charities who want to buy a few copies to raise money for their own campaigning work.

Collections

If
you live in the south ans would like to help organise a street collection in
your area for SARC you won't have to do it alone and to show our gratitude,
if it all goes ahead, you the organiser will get a fabulous free T-shirt from
the SARC shop at www.animalrightsmerchandise.com
So if you and at least one other friend are happy to help on the day of the collection and we can get a permit from the council then we will help sort out the rest and rally some more people together. Stalls

Stalls are not only a good way to get leaflets out to the public and petitions signed but people often like to make a donation. All you need at minimum is a pasting table from a diy store, leaflet pack with elastic bands to stop them flying away, petitions and pens. You may also want to display posters.
You must make sure that you do not obstruct any shops, or public access routes etc, if you are doing a saturday stall try and find a closed bank to set up outside. If you are thinking about setting up a stall, we are happy to give you any advice you need or if you are local you can volunteer to help out on a SARC stall at weekends. If
you are a very busy person but you still want to help, you could consider donating
to SARC monthly by standing order from your bank. This doesn't have to be a
massive committment, you could donate as little as £2 a month if you want,
and you can cancel at any time. It is really easy to set up, all you need to
do is fill out a form and post it to us, and we will do the rest. Click
