.:: What You Can Do ::.

As we can see, there are many great alternatives to egg based foods. Indeed, there is such a plethora of animal-free products on the market, from ice-cream to single cream, and from chocolate to cake, that there really are no excuses for not cutting eggs and dairy from your diet.

Hens are exploited for their ‘produce’ simply because it generates a lot of revenue. The more demand there is for eggs, the more money it makes, but unfortunatley this does not reflect on living conditions for the animals concerned.

The more people who eat animal products, the more intensive the farming systems become. With a lower demand for eggs, there would be no economic sense in cramming 12,000 hens into a battery shed.

The easiest way to help hens, is to cut your consumption of eggs. Less consumption = Less suffering, No consumption = No suffering. If you'd like more information, or would like to cut cruelty out of your lifestyle and don't know where to start, then visit our veggie guide by clicking here.

You can also help animals by informing others of the cruelty behind animal farming. If you would like leaflets to distribute to your friends, pin up at work, or for a school talk or library display, please get in touch with SARC.

If you would like to help on street stalls, and inform people of the exploitation of animals, as well as getting important petitions signed, and raising funds for our campaigns, please let us know.

Have a happy easter - and let the hens enjoy theirs too!
